THE LABEL EDIT

Recognise the exact name.

Shea Butter may appear as Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter. Hyaluronic-acid-related ingredients may appear as Sodium Hyaluronate or Hydrolyzed Sodium Hyaluronate. Read the named form rather than assuming they are interchangeable.

Understand roles, without ranking products.

Humectants such as Glycerin and emollients such as Squalane serve different formulation roles. An ingredient list alone is not a clinical test or a reliable guide to how a finished product will feel.

Do not reverse-engineer a percentage.

We don't claim ingredient concentrations from a product name or highlighted ingredient. Check the full ingredient list and cautions on the packaging you receive.
